White Point / Royal Palms Beach and Park

Located within walking distance to the White Point / Royal Palms Beach and Park, this is a great place for a family outing and incorporates metered parking, ample restrooms, children’s play area, picnic tables, the most diverse tide pools in Southern California, and of course outstanding panoramic views that include Catalina Island! The area is great for fishing, surfing, and scuba diving. With over a mile and a half of rocky beach, 30-acres of park area, and plenty of parking, this beach is one of the County’s hidden gems and also features 102 acres of restored coastal sage scrub habitat, hiking and handicap accessible trails overlooking the ocean and Catalina Island. You can reach this beach and park in 1 min by car, or via a 10 min brisk (and beautiful, scenic) walk!

Beautiful scenery and very easy to explore! This beach is never crowded and is a 5 min drive from the Peninsula Beach house (and only a couple of minutes from the famous Terranea resort here in Los Angeles).

Trump National Golf Course

For golfing / sporting aficionados, the Trump National Golf Course is less than 5 minutes away, along one of the most picturesque drives the CA coastline has to offer!

Abalone Cove

    

You are less than 10 minutes from Abalone Cove as well as some of Los Angeles's most stunning hiking, walking and picnic spots! Abalone Cove Shoreline Park is arguably the best local spot to explore and enjoy in the entire Los Angeles area. The park includes three different sea caves and if the tides are low, some cool tide pools full of sea urchins and sea anemones. If you’re lucky there’s also the possibility of spotting resident seals and migrating whales. The hiking here is moderate and includes some steep, loose dirt trails and rocky beach terrain. With dramatic bluff top views of blue/green water and kelp forests down below, you'll have numerous opportunities for fantastic photo ops and an adventure to remember.
